IGP Danesh Rana flags off JKP mountaineers for Everest expedition

IGP Armed, IR Jammu Danesh Rana today flagged off two Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel for Mt. Everest Expedition-2019 being held under the aegis of MHA Government of India.

Sgct Nazir Ahmad of JKAP-14th Bn. and Const. Falail Singh ofIRP-1st Bn. of J&K Police Mountaineering team who performed outstandinglyduring the trial held by Sonam Gyalso Mountaineering Institute Sikkim and wereselected for participation in Indian Police Mt. Everest Expedition-2019 fromSouth Col. side have been flagged off for the said expedition.

   

Shri Dilbag Singh-IPSDGP J&K and ADGP Armed J&K SJM Gillani congratulated Nazir Ahmad andConst. Falail Singh (JKP Mountaineers) for their selection for participation inthe Mt. Everest Expedition-2019 and wished them “best of luck” for scaling theworld’s highest peak Mt. Everest successfully.

Senior Officers presentduring the flag off ceremony include Mahmood Ahmad SSP Staff Officer to ADGPArmed J&K, Dushyant Sharma SSP Staff Officer (Sports) APHQ J&K, KuldeepHandoo Inspector, Sajad Ahmad Inspector and Ram Singh Sub-Inspector InchargeJ&K Police Mountaineering rescue team (MRT).

Ram Singh of Jammu &Kashmir Police was the first from Jammu & Kashmir Police as well as Stateof Jammu & Kashmir who successfully scaled the world’s highest peak “Mt.Everest” on May 22, 2008 during the Indian Police Mount Everest South Col.expedition held under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs Government ofIndia.
