Islamia College of Science and Commerce Hawal defeated Government Degree College (GDC) Baramulla in the semifinal of the ongoing inter-college Rolling Trophy cricket tournament here on Tuesday.
Batting first Islamia College scored 137 runs in 20 oversfor the loss of six wickets. For them MuneebMunaf was highest scorer with 34runs while as Showkat scored 29 and Naveed scored 22. Mudasir took two-wicketswhile as Gurpreet, Faizan and Ishfaq took one wicket each.
In reply, GDC Baramullawere bundled for 105 runs in 19.1overs. Umar of Islamia College was adjudged as man of the match for his threewicket haul.
The tournament is sponsored by the J&K Higher EducationDepartment and is being organized by the Department of Physical Education atIslamia College Srinagar.
The GDC Sopore will clash with GDC Ganderbal on Wednesday todecide the second finalist.
