IPL: Kings-XI Punjab release Manzoor Pandav

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchisee side, Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday announced the list of its released players from the squad for the upcoming season that includes Kashmir hard-hitting batsman Manzoor Dar (Pandav).

Manzoor Pandav who was last season picked up by Bollywood actress Preity Zinta co-owned franchisee, Kings-XI Punjab in players auction for Rupees 20 lakhs, was released by franchisee along with other 10 players.

   

Last season, Manzoor became the second cricketer from J&K to find place in IPL main team after Parvez Rasool, but ironically was not given a single chance in the entire league. He has been released by franchisee without given a single chance to prove his talent at grand stage.

The Mohali-based team, on Wednesday announced its list of retained, released and traded players.

The released players include Aaron Finch, Axar Patel, Mohit Sharma, Yuvraj Singh, Barinder Sran, Ben Dwarshuis, Manoj Tiwary, Akshdeep Nath, Pardeep Sahu, Mayank Dagar and Manzoor Pandav.

The retained players include, Lokesh Rahul, Chris Gayle, Andrew Tye, Mayank Agarwal, Ankit Rajpoot, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Karun Nair, David Miller and Ravichandran Ashwin

The team has also traded Marcus Stoinis for Mandeep Singh.

The released players will go into player’s auction that would be held prior to the start new season of cash rich league.
