ISLAMIA COLLEGE RACE|Muzamil Hussain finishes first

Muzammil Hussain of B.Com fifth semester cruised to victory in the annual road race of the Islamia College Srinagar on Tuesday.

The race was flagged off jointly by the College convener and member sports committee Prof. Shamim Ahmad Shamim and Prof. Nasreen Chasti from Nishat crossing and ended at Duck Park Foreshore road. Around 121 students of the college participated in the event

Muzamil Hussain finished first after covering the distance of 5.25 kilometers in 14:36.02 minutes while as Suhail Nisar of B.Com fifth semester and Ali Mohammad Bhat of B. Com second semester finished second and third respectively. They clocked the time of 15:22:09 minutes, and 16:38:67 minutes respectively.

Aijaz Hussain of B. Com second semester finished fourth while as Touseef Ahmad of BBA second semester finished fifth.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at Duck Park in which first five position holders were awarded by Prof. Shamim Ahmed, Prof. Nasreen Qureshi and Prof. Mohammad Hanif.

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Adventure Sports Club (JKASC) has hailed its members Muzamil Hussain and Suhail Nisar for finishing first and second respectively in the annual college road race.
