Islamia College skiing course begins

The course is likely to continue for around 10 days under the supervision of Director Physical Education of the college Dr. Altaf ur Rehman.

The Department of Physical Education, Islamia College Srinagar started its skiing course at ski resort of Gulmarg on Wednesday.

Principal of the college Dr Muzafar Ahmed Khan flagged off the continent of 20 students for the course from the college premises in the morning. It is for the first time that the college is organising a skiing camp on its own for its students.

The course is likely to continue for around 10 days under the supervision of Director Physical Education of the college Dr. Altaf ur Rehman.

College is conducting course in collaboration with Kashmir Ski Tours Gulmarag .

The principal in his inaugural speech assured the students of organising more adventure related activities like trekking, rafting, high altitude camping during the session. He advised the participants to take care of their safety and maintain exemplary discipline during the course. The participating students thanked the principal for been kind enough to allow and sponsor the course for them.
