A 14-day basic and intermediate snow skiing course organized by the directorate of physical education, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) at Gulmarg concluded on Saturday.
The dean academic affairs IUST, Prof. A.M. Shah who was the Chief Guest during the concluding ceremony congratulated the participants for actively taking part in such challenging activities. The Vice Chancellor (VC) IUST, Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi lauded the efforts of the directorate of physical education for conducting the skiing course successfully.
Earlier, assistant director physical education department, Dr Hilal Ahmad Rather welcomed the guests and briefed about the importance of such courses. He hailed the support of Vice Chancellor, Registrar Prof Naseer Iqbal, Finance Officer Sameer Wazir and other officials for making this event a great success.
Among others who were present at the occasion were Assistant Registrar Mubashir Nazir, ski-instructor G N Reshi, external examiner Muzamil Ahmad and sports assistants of IUST.
