Hiranagar Club today reached the semifinals stages after winning the thriller via tie breaker against Guru Nanak Nagar Club (GNCC) 7-5 in the ongoing Jammu District Senior Men’s Hockey Tournament, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at K K Hakhu Stadium, here.

 

The second round game was socompetitive that it ended in 4-4 draw in the stipulated time. Romy (fourth), Sandeep Singh (10th), Ranjeesh (27th) and Mukesh Sharma (51st) were the scorers from Hiranagar Club. 

 

On the other hand, Gurpreet Singh played well from GNCC adding two back to back goals in 24th and 29th minute. Other two goals for the team came through Charanjit Singh (eighth) and Sukhmeet Singh (52nd).

Today’s quarterfinal officiated by the technical penal comprising Satbir Singh, Karanjeet Singh, Joginder Singh and Iqbal Singh. 

 

FIXTURE: Deshmesh Club shall face Zorawar Club while Young Star shall be playing against Ajit Club Gole Gujral on February 16.
