J&K braces to host 65th National School Games

Secretary Youth Services and Sports Sarmad Hafeez today chaired a meeting of the senior officers of concerned departments to discuss the arrangements for upcoming 65th National School Games to be hosted by the Jammu and Kashmir from December 9, 2019.

The mega sportsevent will witness competitions in the discipline of Volley-ball under 17 yearsBoys and Squay Martial Art under 14 and 17 years Boys/Girls from 9th ofDecember of this month. A large number of students from across the country areexpected to take part in the event.

   

The Director Healthwas asked to provide medical teams at lodging and boarding centres and atplaying venues round the clock, besides to keep an Ambulance available at theplaying venues and to reserve 15 beds in the district hospital for theparticipating players in case of any medical urgency.

He directed theChief Education Officer to coordinate with the convenor ceremony and the principlesof the schools involved.
