By notching up a win in its last match of the tournament, J&K saved itself from relegating into plate group next season as they finished at seventh place on points table.
With six defeats and three wins , J&K finished with 12 points from nine matches, placed 7th on points table of 10 teams in Elite Group-C.
The J&K team started the day tied at 8 points along with three other teams Opponents Assam also having the same number of points, J&K needed a win desperately to stay in the Elite Group C. The team did well enough to register a comfortable 74-run win, thereby ensuring a stay in the Elite group. Assam finished on bottom of points table with eight points, while as Rajasthan finished ninth with eight points.
Jharkhand finished on top of table in Elite Group-C with 32 points while as Haryana finished second with 28 points.
