J&K team excel in Khelo India Winter Games

Jammu and Kashmir players excelled in Khelo India Winter Games-2020 competitions which are in full swing at the ski resort of Gulmarg.

In SnowShoeing senior long distance run, medals werepresented to SuhailNisar, MuzamilHussain and UmerFarooq respectively while asin junior SnowShoe run, medals were presented to Ayaan Bin Shahnaz, MaqsoodSofiand Haadi were presented medals.

   

In Ice Hockey, J&K Blue emerged out as winner while asJK Red bagged second place. In Ski Mountaineering Vertical Race, Waseem Ahmad,Naseer Ahmad and YawarJavied bagged first three places while as in verticalevent, GulamMohdWani, Firsdous Ahmad and Tanveer Ahmad bagged first threeplaces respectively.

In Ice Stock Long Tajamul, Saigagan bagged first and secondplaces respectively while as Akas and Sanam shared third place. In girlssection, Manali and Urvashi bagged first two positions respectively. P Subrajeeand Damini shared third place.

In Ice Stock team men event, Maharashtra and J&K baggedfirst two places respectively while as Delhi and Jharkhand shared third place.In women’s team event,Maharashtra and J&K bagged first two placesrespectively while as Haryana and Jharkhand shared third place.

In Cross-Country men skiing, Rameez Ahmad, Manbahadur andPadma Namgyal bagged first three positions while as in women section VikasRana,Lodol and Bhaeni bagged first three places respectively.

In C1 Boys Slalom, Syed Zain, RumanUlMadni, both of J&Kand Sahil Thakur of HP bagged first three positions respectivley. In C1 girlsslalom MehakKanwar of Uttarakhand, SajKaur of J&K and Fatima Wali ofJ&K bagged first three positions respectivley. In C2 boys Slalom, FaizanFayaz,Amir Bashir and AzharFayaz bagged first three positions respectively.

In C2 Girls Slalom, RidahAltaf, Warda and Rubab Ali Punjabibagged first three positions respectively.

In Snow Rugby women’s competition, Karnataka bagged firstplace while as Punjab and J&K bagged second and third places respectively.

In Snowbaseball men category, J&K, Rajasthan andUttarakhand bagged first three places respectively while as in women’scategory, Uttarakhand, J&K and Rajasthan bagged first three positionsrespectively.
