J&K team excel in Khelo India Winter Games

Jammu and Kashmir players excelled in Khelo India Winter Games-2020 competitions which are in full swing at the ski resort of Gulmarg.

In SnowShoeing senior long distance run, medals were presented to SuhailNisar, MuzamilHussain and UmerFarooq respectively while as in junior SnowShoe run, medals were presented to Ayaan Bin Shahnaz, MaqsoodSofi and Haadi were presented medals.

In Ice Hockey, J&K Blue emerged out as winner while as JK Red bagged second place. In Ski Mountaineering Vertical Race, Waseem Ahmad, Naseer Ahmad and YawarJavied bagged first three places while as in vertical event, GulamMohdWani, Firsdous Ahmad and Tanveer Ahmad bagged first three places respectively.

In Ice Stock Long Tajamul, Saigagan bagged first and second places respectively while as Akas and Sanam shared third place. In girls section, Manali and Urvashi bagged first two positions respectively. P Subrajee and Damini shared third place.

In Ice Stock team men event, Maharashtra and J&K bagged first two places respectively while as Delhi and Jharkhand shared third place. In women’s team event,Maharashtra and J&K bagged first two places respectively while as Haryana and Jharkhand shared third place.

In Cross-Country men skiing, Rameez Ahmad, Manbahadur and Padma Namgyal bagged first three positions while as in women section VikasRana, Lodol and Bhaeni bagged first three places respectively.

In C1 Boys Slalom, Syed Zain, RumanUlMadni, both of J&K and Sahil Thakur of HP bagged first three positions respectivley. In C1 girls slalom MehakKanwar of Uttarakhand, SajKaur of J&K and Fatima Wali of J&K bagged first three positions respectivley. In C2 boys Slalom, FaizanFayaz, Amir Bashir and AzharFayaz bagged first three positions respectively.

In C2 Girls Slalom, RidahAltaf, Warda and Rubab Ali Punjabi bagged first three positions respectively.

In Snow Rugby women’s competition, Karnataka bagged first place while as Punjab and J&K bagged second and third places respectively.

In Snowbaseball men category, J&K, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand bagged first three places respectively while as in women’s category, Uttarakhand, J&K and Rajasthan bagged first three positions respectively.
