J&K to host National School Games competitions from December 9

Director General Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Dr Saleem ur Rehman has said that J&K would host National School Games competitions from December 9 in Jammu.

“Department of Youth Services and Sports is organizing School Nationals in Volleyball, Kho-Kho and Martial Arts at Jammu from December 9 this year and teams from all the States and Union Territories of the country are participating in the events,” said Dr Saleem during a review meeting.

“These nationals are being organized by the Department under the aegis of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) and for the successful conduct of these events arrangements are being made by the Department with the help of District Administration Jammu and the other concerned Departments,” said the statement.

Dr Saleem said the department is currently busy in making the best possible arrangements for the forthcoming skiing training courses at Gulmarg.

He directed the officers to ensure participation of 10 boys and 10 girl students from every district of J&K Union Territory.
