The final of the Junior women’s hockey championship-2019 was played between IEI Hockey Club Green and IEI Hockey Club Yellow at Sunlight society hockey field GulshanabadHyderpora on Tuesday.
JointSecretary Hockey J&K Raja GhulamNabiWani was chief guest on the occasionwhile as technical director Shabir Ahmad, national hockey player Mohammad Amin, Sunlight society’s chairman, Nissar Ahmad were also present on this occasion.Ali Mohammad the veteran hockey player donated hockey balls to Sun lightsociety for practice purposes.
Inthe final, IEI Hockey Club Yellow beat IEI Hockey Club Green by 2-1 goals.Lubna Bilal the prominent player of IEI Hockey Club Yellow scored both thegoals and Azan Bashir of IEI Hockey Club Green scored one goal.
Duringday the match for third place was also played between Sunlight Hockey Club andCosmos Hockey club. Both teams scored one goal each in the allotted time andoutcome was decided by a toss in which Sunlight Hockey Club bagged third place.
