Kashmir Basketball League ends

In the event around 20 teams participated in both boys and girls category. The League had started January 19.

El Calor emerged winner in the girls category, SSM in the senior boys category and Basket Brawlers in boys U-17 category in Kashmir Basketball League tournament which concluded at Kothibagh Higher Secondary School here on Tuesday.

In the event around 20 teams participated in both boys and girls category. The League had started January 19.

In the boys senior category, Syed Mir Waleed was awarded as most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament and in U-17 boys category, Adeeb Wani received the MVP. In the girls category Useeba Bashir was awarded as the MVP of the tournament.

Superintendent of Police Dawood was the Chief guest on the occasion.  He congratulated the winners and the organizers. “I am highly overwhelmed and happy to see such a great participation in the league and this shows that how committed you all are to the sport,” he said.

“Your efforts are highly appreciated and hope to see you again organizing such tournaments”, he added

MVPs Adeeb Wani on the occasion said, “Such tournaments provide us opportunities to showcase our skills and boost our morale.”

The league was organized by Danish Pandit, Wasiq Ashraf and Labeeb Bhat. The tournament was sponsored by Arco Cements and K-Cafe.
