SDA Drabu cricket championship-2006

Islamabad, July 6: In the ongoing SDA Drabu invitational cricket championship-2006, two matches were played on Thursday.
In the first match, KCC Mattan thrashed PCC Green Mattan by a huge margin of 159 runs. Winning the toss and electing to bat KCC posted a mammoth score of 254 runs in the allotted 30 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Nawaz scored an unbeaten 80 for the batting team. He got good support from Ashiq (46), Shabir (34) and Khurshid (30).
In reply PCC team was bundled out for just 95 runs in the 15th over. Mudasir claimed 6-wickets for the winning team and was adjudged man of the match.
In the second match of the day, ACC Arwani claimed an easy win over Ashim Sports Khanbal. Winning the toss and electing to bat Ashim Sports were bowled out for 52 runs in 13 overs. Murtaza and Mudasir wrecked havoc on the batsmen of Ashim Sports and claimed five and three wickets respectively.
Chasing an easy target of 53 runs in 30 overs, Arwani team achieved the target in 11 overs for the loss of two wickets. Murtaza was adjudged man of the match for his five-wicket haul.
