MIER Academy wins Jammu under-14 Cricket Cup

The MIER Cricket Academy today lifted the Jammu (under-14) Cricket Cup outplaying Lakshay Cricket Academy Udhampur by 39 runs in the final played at Railway Government School ground, here.

Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, MIER made132 runs losing all their wickets. Kanhaiya remained top scorer with 41 runswhile Shaurya contributed 16 runs. From Lakshay Academy, Taksh took threewickets while Vansh bagged one.

   

In reply, Lakshay Academy could not chase the total andbowled out for 93 runs. Taksh top scored with 21 runs. From MIER Academy, Viditbowled deadly spell taking away four wickets while Sagar claimed three.

Vidit was adjusted as player of the match while best batsmantrophy went to Kanhaiya of MIER Academy. Taksh of Lakshay Cricket Academy , Udhampur named best bowler.

Today’s final o officiated by the technical penal includingMadan and Diljot as umpires and Yogesh Dhar as scorer.

In the final, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Guptawas chief guest, who along with guests of honour, Kawalajit Singh Bali (KAS)and Ranjeet Kalra as also Pawan Gupta (DySP) presented title trophies and otherindividual prizes.This tournament was organised by Balbir Singh.
