No sports infrastructure created during last 70 years in Kashmir: Renzushah

Khawaja Farooq Renzushah, chief commissioner J&K Scouts, today said that ‘Spiritual Martial Art’ became original ‘spiritual game’ of Kashmir with arrival of Hazrat Bulbulshah (RA), Hazrat Amir Kabir (RA), when it was officially adopted as premier Kashmir game by first Sufi king of Kashmir, Hazrat Sader ud din Rinchanshah.

He said it was from that time that alcohol and drugs werebanned in Kashmir but “unfortunately deliberate attempts were made during last70 years to destroy Kashmir youth.”

   

He said that alcohol bill was passed by the State Assemblywhich played havoc with Kashmiri youth. “The rampant use of alcohol and drugswas engineered to paralyse their brains.”

He lamented that no sports infrastructure was created duringlast 70 years in Kashmir. “We don’t have playgrounds; we don’t have scouts andmartial art activities patronised by previous regimes.”

He said those people who became representatives of Kashmirhad “neither mass base nor support of 97% population of Kashmir.”

“They always played political games to divert and distanceaway people particularly Kashmir youth from spiritual, scouts and sportsactivities and resort to violent activities to fulfil their vote bankcalculations.”

He said last 13 years are witness that youth agitations were”engineered” just ahead of elections so that “97% do not vote and they winelections only by 3% participation”.

He suggested that it would be better if in Kashmir e-votingby mobile phones is made necessary in future for sake of 97% Kashmir.

He said in the last 13 years when governments ruled on thebasis of votes by just three per cent people, “more than five hundred civiliandeaths  occurred in various stonepelting  incident, while not a singlecivilian death in any stone pelting or lynching incident occurred in 13 monthsof present central rule.”

He was speaking at prestigious Martial Art Hanguldo, aninternational event, which was held at indoor stadium.

Renzushah was chief guest at its inaugural and concludingfunction.
