First time in Kashmir powerlifting history, powerlifter Bashir Ahmad Sheikh – an employee in the office of Chief Education Officer, Srinagar – secured two gold medals, first in bench press under 82.5kg weight category and the second gold medal in deadlift 82 kg weight category during the national 100℅ RAW powerlifting championship held at haryana from 19 to 21 July 2019.
Exuberating his achievement, Bashir thanked coach AnisChowdhary for instilling confidence in the athlete and also his family forsupporting him.
The championship was organized by Haryana 100 RAWPowerlifting Association under the supervision of 100% RAW PowerliftingFederation of India.
