Real Kashmir FC on Sunday emerged as winners of the State Football championship-2019 by defeating DFA Srinagar by 2-0 goals in the final league match at Synthetic Turf TRC Ground here.
Playing its last league match of final phase against DFASrinagar, Real Kashmir went on to beat combined Srinagar side by 2-0 goals.Shahid scored first goal for Real Kashmir in 5th minute of the game and Mehranwent on to double the lead through a beautiful free kick in 64th minute. Thatwas enough to seal the fate of the match and help Real Kashmir to seal theState Championship title.
In the final phase of the State championship three teamsJ&K Police, DFA Srinagar and Real Kashmir FC were in contention who hadqualified after competing in the initial phase of the tournament.It is first time Real Kashmir has bagged StateFootball championship title after having won second division I-League titlelast year. Real Kashmir FC is only side from J&K to ever play in I-League.
