With the aim to create awareness about the ill-effects of the drug menace, Verinag Athletic Club (VAC) on Sunday organised a run for ‘Drug free Shahabad’ from main market Verinag to Government Degree College, Doru.
About 60 students from different local schools participatedin the run which was flagged off by the president VAC Yonis Ahmed Reshi.
The first, second and third prize was received by RashidReshi, Sahil Kutay, Ikhlaq Bhat respectively. The prizes were distributed byCEO of Prime Steel Works, Ishfaq Ahmed Wani, who was the chief guest at theoccasion.Besides, Prime Steel Works, which was the goldensponsor of the event, some other socially-aware startups of the area,including Hidayat Consulting Group,Print Forest, KKR Restaurant and, Lazzat Bakery also sponsored the event.
