In the ongoing 73rd Santosh Trophy tournament North Zone leg two matches were played at sports complex Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Sports Complex Katra, Jammu.
The first match was played between Haryana and Uttar Pradesh and that turned out as goalless draw. In the second match of the day, Punjab beat Himachal Pradesh by 1-0 goals. It was through penalty in 37th minute Punjab scored the winner. Harpal was the scorer. With this win Punjab has six points from two matches and stands on top position in the group while as Delhi is leading another group.
On Friday, Delhi will take on Uttrakhand in first match while as J&K will take on Chandigarh in second match.
The championship is being organized by J&K Football Association under the aegis of AlFF in collaboration with J&K State Sports Council and is being supported by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board & J&K Bank LTD.
