SP College Staff-XI defeated Greater Kashmir Staff-XI in T20 match played at SP College ground here on Thursday.
SP College beat GK-XI by 30 runs as the latter failed tochase the target of 150 runs set by the hosts SP College.
Before the start of the match, GK Staff XI team managerHabib Naqash and SP College Principal Dr Khurshid Ahmad Khan were introduced tothe players of both the teams. They both were part of the ceremonial toss whichwas won by SP College team which decided to bat first.
Batting first the hosts went on to score 149 runs for theloss of nine wickets in allotted 20 overs. Owais with 40 runs was the highestscorer while Adil scored 14 and Dr Javaid Hassan 12.
For GK, Yawar and Nisar took three wickets each while Tariqtook two wickets. Mehjoor took one wicket. GK bowlers lacked discipline as theyconceded 21 extras in the inning.
In reply, GK Staff XI failed to chase the target as theywere able to score only 120 runs for the loss of eight wickets. Tariq with 22was highest scorer while Parvaiz scored 21.
Nisar remained not out on 18 and Nisar Shah scored 16. For SPCollege, Arshid and Owais took two wickets each while Suhail took one.
Principal SP College distributed prizes among theparticipants after the match.
