Jamiya Tariq of Delhi Public School, Srinagar has bagged silver medal in the State Wushu Championship that was held in Jammu from April 23 to 27.
In the event Jamitya defeated Romona of Srinagar in theweight Category of above 24 and age category of Under-12. In the event more 400participants from across the State participated.
Principal Alistair R A Freese congratulated her and saidthat her achievement at such a tender age shows her immense grit anddedication.
The Chairman, Vijay Dhar also expressed his happiness, “I amglad that our students showcase before the world the immense effort we put inbuilding and strengthening character in our students”.
