Suhail Nisar Shah of B.Com fifth semester emerged as winner of the Islamia College Srinagar’s annual cycle race held from Nehru Park to Naseem Bagh here on Tuesday.
The 14.3 kilometer race that was organized by Directorate ofPhysical Education of the college was flagged off by College Convener andMember Sports Committee Prof Shamim Ahmad Shamim and Prof Nasreen Chasti, fromNehru Park and it culminated at Naseem Bagh via Foreshore road. In the event 47cyclists of college participated.
Suhail Nisar Shah finished first with the timing of20:40.618 minutes while as Shajar Latief of BSc first semester and MominManzoor of B.Com fourth semester finished second and third respectively.
Amir Shafi of B.Com first semester finished fourth while asAijaz Hussain of B Com second semester finished fifth.
