Two matches played on Monday

Islamabad, July 10: In the ongoing SDA Drabu Cricket championship-2006, two matches were played on Monday.
In the first match Mars Club Islamabad defeated Parvaiz Aports Jablipora by 18 runs. Mars Club won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 213 runs in their 30 overs for the loss of seven wickets. Abid Wani (34) and Shafaqat (33) were the main scorers for the batting team. For Parvaiz Sports M Abbas claimed three wickets.
Chasing the target, Parvaiz Sports were bowled out for195 runs in 29.4 overs, with Manzoor (53) being the top scorer. For Mars club Abid Wani and G R took three wickets each. Abid was declared man of the match for his all round performance.
In the second match Brij Town beat Tehran Srinagar by 59 runs. Winning the toss and deciding to bat first, Brij Town made 204 runs in the allotted 30 overs with Aabid playing an outstanding inning of 53 runs while Mohsin contributed 42. For Tehran Srinagar, Shabir claimed three wickets.
In reply Tehran Srinagar were bowled out for 145 runs in 22.5 overs with Sajad (39) being the top scorer. Bilal for his all-round performance of (18) runs and four wickets was adjudged man of the match.
