SP Higher Secondary School emerged winner in the under 4-17 inter-school cricket tournament after defeating Tyndale Biscoe in the final played on Saturday.
In the final, batting first Tyndale Biscoe school gotbundled out for 75 runs in the allotted 15 overs. Hayyan Parray and Ishfaq Mirtook two wickets each for SP School.
In reply SP School achieved the target in the 9th over ofthe match. Faisal Ashraf scored unbeaten 51 runs while as Momin Muzaffar scored20 not out.
Earlier in the day SP School had defeated BHS Balhama in thesemifinals. Batting first SP School had scored 84 in the alloted 10 overs.Tahoor scored 31 runs while as Hayyan Parray scored quick fire 20 runs. Inreply BHS Balhama were bundled out for 61 runs. For SP Hayyan Parray, Obaid andIshfaq took two wickets each.
The event was organized by Department of Youth Services andSports Zone Amira Kadal and in it 26 teams of Zone Amirakadal participated.
