U-19 Women’s One-Day League: J&K suffers 4th straight defeat

J&K suffered its fourth straight defeat in the ongoing Under-19 Women’s One Day Cricket League as the team was thrashed by Odisha by 198 runs at Sanguem Cricket Gound, Sanguem, Goa on Saturday.

Batting first, Odisha went on to post 289 runs on the loss of six wickets on board. Indrani Chatria with 51 not out was highest scorer for them while as Poonam Nayak scored 45. 

   

Sweet Buara scored 44. However, it was the miserable line length of J&K women’s team bowlers that outscored all the batswomen of Odisha side. 

J&K bowlers bowled 83 extras. For J&K, Rudrakshi Chib and Ronak Jan took two wickets each.

In reply, J&K got all out for 91 runs in 32.3 overs. Sonika with 18 was highest scorer while as Iqra Rasool scored 15. For Odisha, Rani Kumari took three wickets. 

J&K lost match by 198 runs. It was fourth straight massive defeat for J&K in the tournament. The J&K stands at bottom of the points table.
