U-23 Women’s Cricket Tourney: Saurashtra beat J&K by 65 runs

Hosts Saurashtra defeated J&K by 65 runs in the match of the Women’s Cricket Under 23 One Day League at Railway Cricket Ground, Rajkot on Thursday.

Playing its third match of the event, J&K failed to chasetarget of 178 runs as they got all out for 112 runs.

   

Batting first, Saurashtra scored 177 runs for the loss ofeight wickets in allotted 50 overs. Riddhi Ruparel with 67 run knock washighest scorer for them while as Drashti Somaiya scored 22 and Reena 18. ForJ&K, Bismah Hassan, Nadia Chowdhary and Sadiya Wani took two wickets each.

In reply, J&K batting failed to chase the target as theyall out for 112 runs in 40.2 overs. Nadia Chowdhary with 21 runs was highestscorer for them while as Bismah Hassan scored 16 and Rudrakshi Chib 15. Forhosts, P Modhwadia took four wickets.

In the three matches played so far by J&K in the event, they have suffered defeat in two and were able to win one.
