Hosts Saurashtra defeated J&K by 65 runs in the match of the Women’s Cricket Under 23 One Day League at Railway Cricket Ground, Rajkot on Thursday.
Playing its third match of the event, J&K failed to chase target of 178 runs as they got all out for 112 runs.
Batting first, Saurashtra scored 177 runs for the loss of eight wickets in allotted 50 overs. Riddhi Ruparel with 67 run knock was highest scorer for them while as Drashti Somaiya scored 22 and Reena 18. For J&K, Bismah Hassan, Nadia Chowdhary and Sadiya Wani took two wickets each.
In reply, J&K batting failed to chase the target as they all out for 112 runs in 40.2 overs. Nadia Chowdhary with 21 runs was highest scorer for them while as Bismah Hassan scored 16 and Rudrakshi Chib 15. For hosts, P Modhwadia took four wickets.
In the three matches played so far by J&K in the event, they have suffered defeat in two and were able to win one.
