The unbroken stand of 102 runs between Abid Mushtaq andSahil Lotra lead J&K to a five wicket win in the rain affected matchagainst Tamil Nadu in the Under 23 One-Day League at K L Saini Stadium, Jaipur.
After being reduced to 79 for the loss of five wickets inchase of 198 run total in rain affected game, Abid and Lotra lead J&K to aterrific win. Abid remained unbeaten on 59 from 53 balls while as Sahilremained not out on 49 from 41.
Earlier batting first, Tamil Nadu got all out for 192 runsin 48.2 overs. Nidhish Rajagopal with 55 runs was highest scorer for them whileas S Lokeshwar with 42 and K Mukunth with 40 helped. For J&K, Irfan Haq,Sahil Lotra and Abid Mushtaq took two wickets each. Auquib Nabi and A Bakshitook one wicket each.
In reply J&K chased down revised target of 181 runs in37.2 overs for the loss of five wickets. J&K were reduced to 79 runs forthe loss of five wickets in 22.5 overs. After that there was unbeaten stand of102 runs between Abid and Sahil that lead J&K to a win. For Tamil Nadu,Mohanprasath S took two wickets while as A Mukuntha, T Kumar and M Siddharthtook one wicket each.
It is second win for J&K out of six matches played inthe event. J&K will next face Rajasthan on February 28.
