Under-19 I League: Kashmir FC lose by solitary goal

Hindustan FC dealt with the pressure created by the Kashmir FC assault and tried to attack back in the 30th minute by a through-ball which was thwarted by the defender.

In the second round of the ongoing I-League Under-19 event, Kashmir FC lost their Rest-of-India group match against experienced Hindustan FC by a solitary goal at Dr Ambedkar stadium, New Delhi, on Wednesday.

In the first half of the match Kashmir FC had the major share of possession and created several chances. Assar Mohd and Adnan Ayub made some penetrating attacks for their side but could not score.

Hindustan FC dealt with the pressure created by the Kashmir FC assault and tried to attack back in the 30th minute by a through-ball which was thwarted by the defender. In the 43rd minute Farhaan Ganie got close with his attempted free kick missing the goal by a whisker. Both the teams played neck to neck in the first half which ended goalless.

The starting minutes of the second half were dominated by Hindustan FC who kept the Kashmir FC defenders on toes. The only goal came in the 49th minute when Gagan from Hindustan FC slotted the ball into the net.

In the dying minutes of the game Kashmir FC kept Hindustan FC on toes creating numerous chances within the box but couldn’t score with the game ending 1-0.

The next match for the Kashmir FC is slated against TATA Academy, which will be the real litmus test for the team as they will try to gain some points in the group.
