Winter Games Association of J&K (WGAJK) is going to conduct selection trials for the upcoming Khelo India Winter Games-2020 Gulmarg at Gulmarg on March 5.
In line with preparedness for the upcomingKhelo India Winter Games scheduled to be held in Gulmarg from March 6 to 11,WGAJK had invited application forms from interests and skiers and snowboardingplayers. The Association in a statement issued has said that it received hugenumber of applications for the Games. In order to select the final list ofplayers WGAJK will be holding selection trials at Gulmarg on March 5.
All the athletes who have submitted theirapplications have been asked to reach 85 Ski Slope Gulmarg on March 5 at 9 AMalong with their equipment. No other facility would be provided by ethassociation to the athletes who take part in trials.
Those who fail to report for the trialswill not be considered for the Games while as who qualify shall have to reportat Gulmarg on March 6 for the Games, WGAJK statement said.
On the occasion of the Khelo India Games,commemorative souvenir would be released at inaugural ceremony which containsmessages from various officials and also features achievements of Winter Gameathletes. Secretary J&K State Sports Council Naseem Javaid Chowdhary ispatron of the souvenir committee.
