Taking cognizance of malfunction in the public address system during I-Day celebrations at Sher-e-Kashmir Stadium here on Wednesday, the government ordered attachment of eight employees.

According to official statement, divisional commissioner Kashmir has ordered attachment of eight officials Kingy Singh, foreman,  Ajaz Ahmed Saboon, PAS operator,  Ghulam Hassan Dar, mike operator (all from Cultural academy) Fayaz Ahmed Bhat field publicity assistant (Information), M Iqbal Akhoon, PAS operator (Information), M Iqbal Khan, pas operator (Information), Majid Munshi JE PDD and Ashiq Hussain meter reader PDD.

“While, deputy commissioner Srinagar has been asked to conduct an enquiry and submit report by tomorrow (Thursday) in the matter,” the statement said.

Earlier, in the day audio system started to malfunction at SK stadium during the 'bhangra performance' by forces. As it could not be repaired, the other cultural performances had to be cancelled.
