Various social, religious and political organisations have condoled the demise of Muhammad Sayed Qureshi, former chairman of J&K Bank. 

Qureshi, IAS, breathed his last on Saturday afternoon at his residence in Qureshi Mohalla, Lal Bazar. The deceased was the father of noted ophthalmologist Dr Tariq Qureshi, Er.Wajahat Qureshi and Dr Asif Qureshi and father-in-law of Ishitiaq Ashai (KAS ) and  prominent medico Dr Fiaz Fazili.

People from all walks of life visited the bereaved family and expressed sympathies. Former Chief Minister and National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah, visited the bereaved family and prayed for courage to them to bear the irreparable loss. Former chairman J&K Bank Muhammad Yusuf Khan has also condoled the demise.  

Greater Kashmir family has condoled the demise and extended sympathies to the bereaved family.

Known for his meticulous managerial skills, Qureshi, before heading J&K Bank, worked as managing director State Financial Corporation and also as director Industries, deputy commissioner Sales Tax, and deputy commissioner Anantnag. Qureshi is survived by three sons and two daughters.

Meanwhile, family sources said the Fateh Khawani will be held at 9 am on (Tuesday) 22nd August at Lal Bazar.
