Film on drug menace, role of media to be screened at SKICC

A film titled “Kashmir Daily- Story of a Journalist” based on drug menace and role of media to highlight drug mafia, will be screened at SKICC here from March 20. 

Produced by Seven2Creations, the film will be showcased for two weeks and first screening of the Kashmiri version of the film will be screened at SKICC on March 20 at 11 am. 

In a statement, the production house said “despite financial constraints, the film which carries a social message was completed and would be now screened at SKICC for fund raising so that the movie could be released at national and international level”.

“The J&K Tourism has supported our cause as the picturization of the film has highlighted the beauty if Kashmir in most attracting manner for wooing tourists across globe to Kashmir,” it said. The film has been approved by Central Board of Film Censorship which has granted it a “U” certificate “by virtue of which the film can be released at national and international level,”. Pertinently, theme of the film is drug menace among the younger generations of the society. The film also depicts the role of the society particularly the media to expose such elements and to prevent youth from falling prey to such menace.
