Announces auditorium for GHSS Nawa Kadal

Impressed by various performances by students at Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nawa Kadal, minister for Education, Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari today said “the students of Shaher-e-Khaas are second to none when it comes to showcasing their talent.”

The minister said this addressing annual day function of GHSS Nawa Kadal which was attended by secretary school education Farooq Ahmad Shah, deputy commissioner Srinagar Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, director school education Kashmir, G N Itoo, chief education officer Srinagar Farooq Ahmad Dar, Principals from various colleges and other concerned officials of Education department.

On the occasion, several cultural items, skits and programmes highlighting social issues, were performed by various groups of girl students which were appreciated by the Minister and audience as well.

Addressing the audience, Bukhari said that “girls of Kashmir are confident and are doing well in every field.” “Through these annual days, the students get a platform to showcase their talent. Under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti, the government is dedicated for the upliftment of girls in J&K,” he said. 

Bukhari appreciated the contribution of GHSS Nawa Kadal in the deliverance of education to girl students in Kashmir. “School has shown almost cent percent result last year which is the huge success despite being in the area which is more prone to untoward incidents,” he said. 

On the demand of the students and the school faculty, the minister announced that an auditorium will be developed in the heritage building.
