The department of Computer Science, North Campus of University of Kashmir organized a 2-day conference on Software Engineering and Data Sciences (CoSEDS 2018) on Friday.
Researchers from national and international institutes participated and presented their work in the conference that was held at Gandhi Bhavan. A tutorial session was held on second day of the conference by experts from BITS, Pilani and JIIT, Noida. The CoSEDS2018 provided an opportunity for local students to interact with reputed researchers and gain exposure.
The chief guest for the inaugural session Prof Zaffar Reshi (Dean Research, University of Kashmir) while appreciating North Campus stressed upon the significance of organizing such events.
Prof. Irshad Wani (Director, North Campus), Chief Patron CoSEDS2018 presented the welcome address. Prof Vasudha Bhatnagar (Head, Department of Computer Science, University of Delhi), Program Chair CoSEDS2018 presented the keynote address. Prof ArifWani (Head, Department of Computer Science, UoK), Guest of Honor CoSEDS 2018 congratulated North Campus for organizing the conference.
While Dr Umar Farooq (assistant professor, department of computer science, North Campus), General Chair, CoSEDS2018 presented the conference report. The inaugural session of the conference was chaired by Dr. Wasim A Bhat. A total of six sessions were held in the course of conference wherein 29 papers were presented.
