Police today said it arrested two drug peddlers and seized contraband substance from their possession.
“Two persons identified as Manzoor Ahmad Mir of Pamporeand Ilyas Bashir Khanday of Drangbal who were travelling in a vehicle bearing RegistrationNo. JK01J 2828, were arrested for drug supply offences and were taken to PoliceStation R. M. Bagh where they remain in custody. Officers at the checkpointestablished at R. M. Bagh have seized some quantity of heroin and cash of Rs12,000 from their possession,” police spokesperson said in a statement. “In this regard, a case FIR No 23/2019under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Ram MunshiBagh and investigation has been taken up,” the statement added.
