Police today arrested two drug peddlers at Soura here. .
In a statement policeperson said “officers at acheckpoint established at Boulchpora Soura, arrested two drug peddlersidentified as Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh son of Ali Muhammad Sheikh resident ofAlamgari Bazar and Ayaz Ahmad Parah son of Javid Hussain Parah resident ofBemina.”
“They have been shifted to Police Station Soura wherethey remain in custody. Contraband substance including Spasmoproxyvon capsuleshave been seized from their possession by the officers. Case FIR No. 59/2019under relevant sections of law has been registered and initiated investigationin the matter,” the statement said.
“Community members are requested to come forward withany information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons foundindulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law. Our consistent actionsagainst drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are makingefforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace,” itsaid.
