236 persons head home after completing quarantine period

At least 236 people who completed their quarantine period at different facilities here were discharged on Wednesday.

Those discharged, belonged to different districts ofKashmir, and were kept in five quarantine homes in the summer capital.

   

They were provided transportation by the government to reachtheir respective homes.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary saidanother 227 persons with travel history to different countries, who havecompleted their quarantine period, will be discharged on Thursday.

Additional Commissioner, Srinagar Syed Hanief Balkhi saidmost of the persons discharged today were medicos who had returned from centralAsia countries on March 19, including Bangladesh and Thailand.

He said all 236 persons were declared fit by a team ofdoctors. Balkhi said the district administration encourages who have concealedtheir travel history to come forward and help the authorities in defeatingcoronavirus.

Balkhi said people who allowed using their properties asquarantine facilities deserve respect. “Those discharged today were got a roundof applause from police and civil officials,” he said.Sofar 314 people have completed the quarantine period and have been discharged.
