,Police on Tuesday said it recovered huge quantity of banned drugs and arrested three drug peddlers.
An official statement said a police party from policestation Pantha Chowk, under the supervision of SHO Muhammad Ayoub Rather,during a naka checking on Monday recovered 300 bottles of Codeine Phosphate inZewan area here.
Giving details the statement said, acting on specificinformation, the party laid a naka and during the checking at Zewan, it intercepteda car and apprehended three persons from whose possession it recovered 300bottles of Codeine phosphate.
“Police seized the contraband and registered case (FIR15/2019 U/S 8/22 DPS Act). The investigation has been taken up,” said thestatement.
