On July 24, 2014 burglars stabbed a goldsmith Arif Hussain Lone son of Muhammad Azim at his Sekidafar shop in north City and decamped with cash and jewelry worth over Rs 30 lakhs.
Six months on, police is clueless into the case while the victim struggles to overcome financial losses and injuries he met in the deadly attack.
Even though CCTV cameras are installed in the area, police has been clueless. Arif who suffered serious head injuries and was in comma said since the day he got up from the bed, has been knocking police doors.
“Police has been telling me that I should inform them about the culprits but the fact is that I don’t know them,” he said.
The victim argued that if police could solve the “blind acid attack, why dilly-dally over my case?” A case vide FIR No 127/2014 under section 453/307 has been registered at police station Safa Kadal.

The wounded was rushed to SMHS Hospital Karan Nagar where doctors declared his condition critical. He was referred to SKIMS Soura wherefrom he was discharged after many days of treatment.
Meanwhile the victim has appealed the City police chief Amit Kumar to personally look into the matter.
