Advisor Ganai listens to people’s issues, assures action

Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai Thursday held a grievance redressal camp here at Grievance Cell, Church Lane here during which scores of delegations and individuals apprised him with their issues and grievances.

More than 18 delegations and scores of individuals fromvarious parts of Kashmir projected a number of issues on the occasion andsought their immediate redressal.

   

The delegations from KhagBudgam, DachniporaAnantnag, andvillages of Kralpora and Qaziabad of district Kupwara met the Advisor duringthe day-long camp and demanded establishment of Degree Colleges in theirrespective areas.

Similarly, delegations from DargahRainawari also met theAdvisor and raised the demand for Marriage Hall in their area.

During the camp, a delegation of Booksellers and StationersAssociation raised the demand for timely availability and enhancement ofdiscount on the books provided by State Board of School Education. They alsodemanded barring private schools from selling books and stationery directly tothe students.

President Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmirrequested for restoration of adventure tourism activities at Sonamarg andPahalgam.

A delegation of Technical Education Teachers also met theAdvisor for devising a mechanism to permit them to take admission in PhDcourses after completion of Bachelors Degree.

A representative of JK Peoples Movement from AnantnagAssembly raised different developmental issues about the constituency.Delegations from Yaripora, Kulgam and Mohanpora, Pakherpora also raised severaldevelopmental issues in their respective villages.

The Advisor gave a patient hearing to the deputations andindividuals and said that all genuine issues put forth will be looked into andredressed on priority.
