Baghat-e-Barzulla residents appeal authorities

The residents of Baghat-e-Barzulla opposite Jamia Masjid area Sunday complained that their residential colony was being fast turned into commercial area resulting in traffic jams, pollution and disturbance to their lives.

A delegation of residents said that commercial activities were being done in the residential colony, causing nuisance for the people residing in the area. “The haphazard parking by people till late in the evening outside these shops is making our lives miserable. The biggest victims are women folk as we don’t know who has parked these cars in our colony,” they complained.

   

“Many times, the road outside is choked with vehicles. All this has happened due to the exponential rise in commercial activities,” the residents rued.

While strongly objecting to these activities, they said the Srinagar municipal corporation authorities have failed to address the issue. “We appeal to Finance minister Syed Altaf Bukhari, who is also the concerned MLA, divisional commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, IGP Traffic Basant Rath and other concerned authorities to look into the matter.
