Commerce and Industries Kashmir (CCIK) has expressed concern over worsening traffic situation in the summer capital
In a statement, CCIK spokesperson said the body held a meeting today to discuss the traffic scenario in Srinagar. “There is worst traffic mess in Srinagar. Traffic cops are only seen at VIP places. Downtown roads are blocked especially during office hours. This hits office goers, students and movement of ambulances to hospitals. There is lack of parking facilities in city,” the statement said.
“CCIK requests authorities to take measures for streamlining traffic system in Srinagar,” it added.
