'Chana Pora grid revamp improves power supply'

Srinagar, Jan 24: Power supply in Chana Pora has improved past floods, some locals said. Thanks to the revamp of the local grid station feeding the area.
 A senior official in the Power Development Department said: “Power supply in areas like Chan Pora, NatiPora and Bagh-e -Mehtab has improved owing to the reasons that a lot of stabilization works at 33 /11KV levels by way of upgrading of Receiving Station/conductor, load balancing on feeders.”
 Commenting over the issue, PDD Executive Engineer Muhammad Yousuf Baba said the area would get 24X7 supplies soon. “Land for new Receiving station at Badshah Nagar has already been acquired and with its commissioning the PDD dream to provide 24×7 supplies will be fulfilled,” he said.
