The Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar Dr Talat Jabeen Thursday organized a medical camp at Rakh Aarth in Batmaloo Zone, as part of special outreach program.
A team of doctors and paramedics conducted physical check-up of over 160 persons of different age group including children, an official statement said.
It said the team provided free medicines to the patients besides conducting blood tests free of charges. “The CMOs office is planning to conduct more such camps in different areas of Srinagar in coming days to reach in its drive to create awareness about health among people,” the statement said.
The local hailed the move and demanded to make it a regular feature in the area in order to save the people from any fatal disease, the statement said.
“We have conducted such camps in the past as well. It is also our endeavor to make people aware about hygiene which goes a long way to help build a healthy society,” it said.
