Control room set-up at Div Com office in Srinagar

On the directions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, the authorities have set-up round-the-clock COVID19 related control room.

The control room, under the supervision of nodal officer andrevenue attorney, Qazi Masood, at the Divisional Commissioner’s office,receives hundreds of calls from all over the country regarding COVID19 relatedgrievances.

   

Proper call inventory was being made and complaints werebeing forwarded to the departments concerned on real time basis so thatcaller’s grievance was immediately redressed.

The control room also received calls regarding ration, lifesaving drugs, inter-district movement passes, chemotherapy cases and othergrievances which have been sent to the departments concerned for timely action.

The control room also compiles a complete report from 10district-based control rooms and submits the same to the quarters concerned forquick redressal.

At least 20 employees of departments concerned sit in thecontrol room round-the-clock, on roaster wise duty chart with dedicated landline, toll free numbers and three wireless sets.

For stranded residents of the Valley outside UT, Jammu &Kashmir Resident Commission, New Delhi had also established round-the-clockhelp line numbers.
