On the directions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, the authorities have set-up round-the-clock COVID19 related control room.
The control room, under the supervision of nodal officer and revenue attorney, Qazi Masood, at the Divisional Commissioner’s office, receives hundreds of calls from all over the country regarding COVID19 related grievances.
Proper call inventory was being made and complaints were being forwarded to the departments concerned on real time basis so that caller’s grievance was immediately redressed.
The control room also received calls regarding ration, life saving drugs, inter-district movement passes, chemotherapy cases and other grievances which have been sent to the departments concerned for timely action.
The control room also compiles a complete report from 10 district-based control rooms and submits the same to the quarters concerned for quick redressal.
At least 20 employees of departments concerned sit in the control room round-the-clock, on roaster wise duty chart with dedicated land line, toll free numbers and three wireless sets.

For stranded residents of the Valley outside UT, Jammu & Kashmir Resident Commission, New Delhi had also established round-the-clock help line numbers.
