COVID19 | 6 patients discharged from SKIMS Hospital Bemina

Six COVID19 patients were Tuesday discharged from High Dependency Unit of SKIMS Bemina Hospital here, after recovering from the disease.

A statement said among the discharged patients four had severe COVID pneumonia, with severe respiratory distress, and were put on high flow oxygen.

   

One patient received Convalescent Plasma Therapy (CPT), said the statement, adding all the patients were monitored on day to day basis till their oxygen saturation remained 94 percent on room air and were discharged.

Of 1,004 COVID patients admitted to the hospital, 905 have recovered so far, said the statement. It said while the recovery rate was 90.13 percent, the hospital has recorded 29 COVID deaths so far.

“Till date, 75 deliveries of COVID positive pregnant women have been conducted at the hospital including 46 major surgeries (LSCS) for complicated child birth,” said the statement.

Besides, the statement said, the COVID testing lab at the hospital was conducting around 500 tests daily and till date 42019 tests have been conducted.
