Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir, Prof Talat Ahmad will on Monday chair a meeting to review preparations and measures taken by the University to fight COVID -19.
The meeting will be attended by many functionaries of theUniversity, including officers of the administration and senior facultymembers.
An official statement said the meeting will be held strictlykeeping in view social distancing norms and other precautionary measures duringwhich Prof Ahmad would seek suggestions/measures from participants to be takento stop spread of coronavirus and how the University can continue its academicactivities in the given circumstances, once the lock down is lifted.
During the meeting, stress would be laid on comprehensiveplanning and continued efforts which are imperative to break the chain.
The Vice Chancellor will also take stock of the steps takento compensate learning in the University and how the students were beingprovided with the online lessons through e-learning mode and virtual classroomsto ensure their studies do not suffer due to COVID19 lockdown.
