Residents from different localities of Bemina here on Monday complained about defunct street lights in their areas.
They accused the authorities of failing to repair thelightning system despite repeated pleas.
A group of locals from different areas of Bemina said theyare forced to walk out of their homes in pitch dark for dawn and night prayersowing to defunct street lights.
“Even in this holy month of Ramadhan, the authorities havefailed to repair the street lights,” said a resident from Nund ReshiColony-A.
He said they have been requesting authorities for long timeto repair or replace the street lighting but nothing has been done.
